English as a Second Language (ESL) Instruction

Project Read, a program of the Longview Public Library (1600 Louisiana Street, Longview WA 98632), coordinates one-on-one tutoring for ESL and citizenship interview preparation, as well as other skills. Citizenship Test Preparation
Most naturalization applicants must pass a test requiring knowledge of US history, government, and civics. Fortunately, “citizenship workshops” are available throughout the state to assist applicants as they prepare for this exam.
The Department of Health and Human Services (DSHS) compiled a list of agencies providing citizenship assistance under the Office of Refugee and Immigrant Assistance (ORIA):

Other Legal Services
Private Attorney List - All attorneys listed are members of the Washington State Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and are experienced with immigration law. We do not recommend any specific attorney, nor do we have any influence over their prices or the quality of their services.
Columbia Legal Services provides free legal services to low-income people across Washington State.
Legal Action Center provides free legal assistance to low-income people on housing issues throughout King County. They can be reached at (206) 324-6890.
Northwest Immigrant Rights Project (NWIRP) provides immigration legal services to low-income people regardless of immigration status.
Northwest Justice Project (NJP) provides free civil legal services to low-income people.
